Half Guard

The top player is generally able to exert a lot more force and pressure especially in a self-defence situation, so having effect strategies from this position is crucial for your development

Guard Passing

In week 8 we focus on guard passing techniques and basic guard retention. Mastering this skill is essential for advancing your overall game and most important of all keeping yourself safe in a real situation where you have ended up on the ground. Understand what our primary goals are when we are trying to pass the guard will help the bottom player also understand what to prevent and how to come out on top. Week 9

Leg Locks

In Week 9, we will begin focusing on leg locks. There is no doubt that the sport and martial art have evolved over the last ten years, particularly with the rising interest in leg locks. In our classes, we will teach you the basics of the straight ankle lock, which targets your opponent's ankle. You will learn the fundamental techniques of the straight ankle lock from both offensive and defensive perspectives. Our leg lock series aims to ensure the safety of you and your training partners.

Week 10

Escapes

Our final week of the 10 week beginners program will be focused on escapes. Here you will take everything you have learned throughout the entire 10 week program and apply it with your training partners. Having effective escaping strategies is crucial for keeping yourself safe from your opponent attacks allowing you to apply attacks of your own with confidence. Let's take part in this journey together in improving our mental and physical wellbeing and have fun along the way.
